As you may have gathered, one of my passions that gives me tremendous joy is traveling. I love to explore what’s new to me — change my routine, and learn and see new things. I find it enriches my life. Anything that enriches me serves to enrich my business because my passion, enthusiasm, and new discoveries translate into benefits for my clientele.
I experienced something very cool while staying at the Hotel Murano in Tacoma, Washington. The hotel was beautiful and distinctive with a very modern theme featuring Glass Art, including Dale Chilhuy. Lovely place. Each floor featured an artist and their glass works of art. If you are in Tacoma, stay there!
Beyond that, what I loved when we stepped into our beautifully appointed room was familiarizing myself with the amenities. I noticed two postings by the phone. One was entitled Spiritual Menu. This menu included various spiritual resources including the Bhagavad Vita, the Torah, and the Bible among other choices. The simple menu and instructions told us that we could request the book of our choice and have it delivered to our room. In addition to the Spiritual Menu, there was a Pillow Menu and a Room Service Menu. (The room also sported an iPod docking station, which was promptly confiscated by our daughter.)
