Maybe It’s Time to Do It Differently
Today, while driving to a meeting with a colleague, I stopped for a red light. Glancing over to my right, what should I see but a large person/cow (actually, a person wearing a cow costume) enthusiastically waving at me.
I waved back.
It made me laugh out loud!
The “cow/person” was advertising for Chik Fillet. His signs read: Have You Ever Tried Chikn for Breakfast? Now Serving Breakfast! Eat More Chikn!
Well, truth be told, no.
I have never eaten chicken (or chikn) or even considered visiting Chik Filet for breakfast! Have you?
What I love about this silly but true little incident is that Chik Filet had a really great idea – one that I think we, as business owners, could benefit from.
Chik Filet had an idea to market in a way that truly stood out. It’s not the same old humdrum approach to marketing a product or service. This novel approach is different, clever, and mixes things up in such a way that makes them memorable.
